Akhileshwar Temple ( Terracotta Style )

Our directors, both Mr. & Mrs. Roy being extremely aesthetic in their choices had constructed two temples in this property by specially designing terracotta tiles themselves and finally getting it executed by the artist of Bishnupur, which is famous for it old, medieval terracotta temples. Mr. Rahul Roy himself did a lot of research from the ‘Shivapuran’to get the tiles correctly depicted in the temples.

The temple was put to life on 17th Aug 2009 by the holy Priests of ’Lake Kali Bari’ Kolkata by doing a massive scale ‘Pran Pratishtha’ puja. The temple is named “Akhileshwar” which is another name of Lord Shiva. A daily puja is conducted everyday at the temples.

Chapel

After the sudden demise of Mr. Rahul Roy, the main spearheader of the project, according to his wishes, Mrs. Roy also constructed a chapel at the property after his demise. Both of them being spiritual people they believe in culmination of all in one’. The chapel has a stained glass panel and a painting (reproduction) by Perugino titled ‘The handing over of keys).
